Christian Biography of Ardis C. Dillman

     Cleo Ardis Dillman, the daughter of John and Violet (Adrian) Powell, was born on February 11, 1925 on a farm northwest of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on January 5, 2012 at York General Hearthstone, York, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 10 months, 25 days.

     Ardis attended grade school near Nelson and she graduated from Nelson High School. She was united in marriage to Herbert Dillman on October 6, 1946 at St. Paul Methodist Church, Lincoln, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two children.

     She worked in the family grocery store in Nelson alongside her husband as a meat wrapper. She enjoyed cooking holiday meals, gardening, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herbert on November 14, 2011and three sisters Opal Benedict, Daisy Farver and Arlene Roseboom.

     She is survived by her daughter Linda Dillman of York, Nebraska and son Richard Dillman and wife Karen of Grand Island, Nebraska; granddaughters Amanda Daugherty and husband Brent of Columbus, Nebraska and Megan Kortum and husband Mike of South Haven, Mississippi; and one great granddaughter Elise Daugherty; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
