Christian Biography of Aaron James Hughes
Aaron James Hughes, the son of Jimmie and Dianna (Sample) Hughes-Epp was born on November 21, 1980 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on October 5, 2013 in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 32 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Aaron attended and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1999. During high school Aaron participated in football, baseball, basketball, wrestling and FFA. He had a love for the outdoors and like anything that involved being outside. He enjoyed many hours of hunting and fishing with his dad and brother Chris. During high school Aaron operated his own lawn care business and a one time had 57 lawns that he cared for. The family dog "Chuck" was a constant companion of Aaron's.
After high school Aaron went to work for Lincoln Truck Center as a parts specialist. He worked the majority of his adult life for Lincoln Truck Center, where he was employed at the time of his death. Aaron's pride and joy of his life were his two son's Clayson who was born in 2000 and Jayden who was born in 2008. Aaron loved children and wherever he went children were close by. Aaron was especially close to his two nieces Alexandra and Carlee. He thought the world of them and would have done anything for them.
Aaron will be forever remembered for his fun loving nature, his kidding ways and most of all his contagious smile.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Edna Hughes and Ronald and Linda Sample, his father, Jim Hughes on January 4, 2007.
He is survived by his two children, Clayson Hughes and Jayden Hughes, his mother Dianna Epp and husband Gary of Hickman, Nebraska, his brother, Christopher and wife Jessica of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, step-sisters, Rylee Epp and Keely Epp of Hickman, Nebraska, nieces, Alexandra and Carlee Hughes of Lincoln, Nebraska, step Grandfather, Alan Epp of Plymouth, Nebraska, along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Ron Drury officiating.
Music was recordings of "I Will Remember You" and "Glory Days".
Pallbearers were Ronald Sample, Duane Sample, Ryan Sample, David Rogers, Maynard Crispin and Steve Jensen.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior.
Memorials may go in care of the family.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior, Nebraska.
