Obituary

Agnes G Britten, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Hageman) Kimminau, was born on May 13, 1925 in St. Leo, Kansas. She passed away on October 14, 2022 at her home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 97 years, 5 months, 1 day.

On September 7, 1948 Agnes was united in marriage to Elmer Britten at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Lawrence and to this union three sons were born. She helped her husband on the farm while raising her family. In 1969 they moved to Superior where they made their home. She was employed at Superior Schools as a cook for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for 53 years and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary; her husband Elmer April 20, 1999; son Frank, brothers William, Fred, Felix, Edward and Leo and sisters Cecilia Lemke and Mary Vrchota.

Survivors include her sons Richard (Tia) of Brady, Nebraska and Dan of Superior; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
