Christian Biography of Arthur William Betz

Art Betz, the son of Martin and Helen (Dailey) Betz was born April 14, 1940 at Bayshore, New York. He passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018 at his residence near Webber, Kansas. He was baptized on April 6, 1941 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amityville, New York. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958 until 1962. He was the owner and operator of Betz Trucking Company.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Patricia Cleveland of Webber, Kansas; children, Lorraine of Milton, Vermont; Suzzanne of East Wallingford, Vermont; Art Jr. of Silverdale, Washington; Danielle of Houston, Texas; Jaci of Sioux City, Iowa; Marty of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Emily of Lincoln, Nebraska; step-children, Scott of Elbow Lake, Minnesota and Deb of Concordia, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; his sisters, Lee Ann and Bette Jo and a sister in law, Bonnie. Art was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Martin Betz and an infant grandson, Martin Jr.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday September 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery near Lovewell Lake, Webber, Kansas with Pastor Matt Ehlers and Fr. David Micheal officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the University of Nebraska Foundation for cancer research at UNMC.
