Christian Biography of Carole Shepherd

Carole E. Shepherd, the daughter of Lewis and Eunice (Wentworth) Rickwalt, was born on October 16, 1938 in Canon City, Colorado. She passed away on November 17, 2025 at the Heritage Care Center of Red Cloud at Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 87 years.

Carole was a high school graduate. She married Donald Shepherd in May of 1987 at Pueblo, Colorado. This union was blessed with three children. They later divorced.

Carole lived in Superior for a time before moving to Red Cloud. She entered the Heritage Nursing Home in February of 2023 due to her health. Her lifetime was spent helping to care for those who needed help. She enjoyed crocheting, and quilting and in the summer time fishing was her enjoyment.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Eunice, and her brothers Allen and Dave Rickwalt and her sister Evelyn James.

Survivors include her children Gerald (Melody) Shepherd of Ogden, Utah, Deanna (John) Disney of Red Cloud, Nebraska and Stanley Shepherd of Sitges, Barcelona, Spain; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.
