Christian Biography of Charles "Butch" Walbridge

Charles Warren Walbridge, the son of Charles and Bessie (Stradley) Walbridge, was born on July 6, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He passed away on April 29, 2019 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 9 months, 23 days.

He was married to Christina VanBibber in 1982. Chris passed away in 1988. His second marriage was to Evelyn Mentzer in 1995 and Evelyn passed away in 2003.

Butch was a member of Living Faith Fellowship. He was a cook at Do Drop In and enjoyed landscaping and remodeling his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Christina and Evelyn; and his siblings Albert, Dorothy, Esther, Betty and Gary.

Survivors include his children Anne and husband Sunny Corbett of Salina, Kansas, Wendell Beck and Faye of Vancouver, Washington, Sheila Sjoholm of Hardy, Nebraska, Rick Beck of Washougal, Washington, Sheryl Kostiuk and Wayne of Sabetha, Kansas, Steve Beck of San Antonio, Texas, Shelly Beck of Omaha, Nebraska, Lisha Payne and Nathanael of Morristown, Tennessee and Sandy Carter and Ken of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by his siblings Wanda, Mary, and Gilbert; 30 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 4:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating.

Music was recordings of "Amazing Grace," "Grandpa," and "Daddy's Hands."

Private family inurnment will be later in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
