Christian Biography of Chris Ferguson

Christopher Scott Ferguson, the son of Scott and Kelleen (Bliss) Ferguson, was born on November 6, 1983 in St. George, Utah. He passed away on July 22, 2026 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 42 years, 8 months, 16 days.

Chris's life began with incredible determination. Born three months premature and weighing only 1 pound, 9 ounces, he overcame tremendous odds from his very first day. His perseverance and strength became defining qualities throughout his life. He attended Lawrence/Nelson Schools and graduated from high school before answering the call to serve his country.

Chris proudly served four years in the United States Navy, followed by four years in the United States Army. His military service reflected his courage, commitment, and willingness to put others before himself. He was honorably medically discharged after faithfully serving his nation.

Chris enjoyed playing video games and spending time in nature.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Ferguson and son Giddeon Ferguson.

Above all, Chris treasured his family. He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Ferguson and his children, Kayden Ferguson (Elizabeth Cox), Gwen Ferguson and Zoie Smidt; grandson Joseph Condry and soon to be granddaughter Ella Ferguson; his father Scott Ferguson, his mother Kelleen Ferguson; siblings Jessica (Granger) Lofton, Morgan Wells, Shelby Ferguson and Shayla Ferguson; and his grandmother Selma Ferguson of Deshler; other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Bureau Cemetery also known as Pierce Chapel Cemetery, rural Clarks, Nebraska with Royce Schott officiating.

Recorded music of "Hey Dad," and "Still Ain't Made it Home."

Pallbearers will be Scott Ferguson, Kayden Ferguson, Ryan Roberts, Beau Utecht, Georgie Sanders and Dameion Jordon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Lofton, Morgan Wells, Shelby Ferguson, Shayla Ferguson and Bodie Cassens.

Memorials are suggested to go in care of the family to be determined at a later date.
