Christian Biography of Clint Richardson

Clinton Wilson Richardson, the son of Walter and Minnie (Shoebotham) Richardson, was born on September 15, 1927 in Fairbury, Nebraska. He passed away on December 21, 2017 at the Perkins Pavilion at Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 90 years, 3 months, 6 days.

Clint was a Fairbury High School graduate and attended Fairbury Junior College before enlisting into the United States Navy. He served his country during World War II, and was honorably discharged in August of 1946. He returned to Fairbury, where he was employed at Sidles Auto Parts.  On December 21, 1952, Clint was united in marriage to Lucille Blackburn at Ragan, Nebraska. This union was blessed with a son and daughter. Clint passed away on their 65 ^th Wedding Anniversary.

Clint was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Eagles, Superior Country Club, and a 60-year member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge, serving as an officer in all the clubs over the years.

He enjoyed golf and bowling, and bowled in leagues for many years, attending many school programs and activities for his children and grandchildren. He loved to tell jokes and stories, and even dressed up as a woman for Halloween. He loved to entertain and was a jokester which kept everyone laughing. He loved life and his family.

Clint and Lucy were residents of the Kingswood Court in Superior and just recently moved to the Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.

Throughout his lifetime, Clint has lived in the communities of Fairbury, Holdrege, Kearney, Broken Bow, in Nebraska and Centerville, Iowa, before moving to Superior where he spent most of his life and recently in Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Keith Richardson and half-brother Don Shearon.

Survivors include his wife Lucille of Hastings, and his son James and wife Marsha of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina and daughter Susan Bradley and husband Damon of Naponee, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Erin, Sara, Rachel and Rebecca and four great grandchildren: Haille, Tristan, Chauncey and Jade. He is also survived by his sister Helen Minnick of Hopkins, Minnesota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
