Christian Biography of Coleen Jo (Shipley) Meyer

Coleen Jo Meyer, the daughter of Leverle and Helen Mabel (Duncan) Shipley, was born on May 30, 1945 in Angus, Nebraska. She passed away on September 16, 2022 at the Hospice House at Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 3 months, 17 days.

Coleen attended country grade school and Nelson High School. After graduating she attended Mercedes Cosmetology school. Coleen married Gregory Meyer on July 18, 1965 at Nelson and to this union 2 children were born.

Throughout her lifetime she lived in the communities of Angus, Nelson, Lincoln, Lexington and Beatrice before making Omaha her home.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Greg of Beatrice; her children Shannon (Kevin) Ziebell and Shane (Stephanie)Meyer; four grandchildren Chase and Hunter Ziebell and Callie and Abby; and her siblings Judy Kubicek of Superior; Carol (Steve)Yost of Clay Center; Michael Shipley of Colorado Springs and Susan Shuck of Kearney; other relatives and a host of friends.
