Christian Biography of Connie Marie Becker

Connie Marie Becker, the daughter of Julius and Hilda (Runge) Jensen, was born on April 9, 1941 in Hardy, Nebraska.  She passed away on July 27, 2020 at her home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 18 days.

Connie attended Beech country school and was a 1958 Superior High School graduate.

She married Robert Zeigler on August 14, 1959.  Four children were born into this union and the family was raised in Superior.  They later divorced.

She married Steve Becker on November 22, 1997 at Salem Lutheran Church.  Together they enjoyed going to horse races, playing cards, and living on the 100-year Runge family farm.

Before her retirement from Edward Jones, Connie worked many years at Alexander Motors and JC Penney.

Connie had a loving heart for all animals, especially horses and cats.  She also loved to participate in bowling leagues, multiple card clubs, and watching her children and grandchildren in their many activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter Tricia Lynette Zeigler.

Survivors include her husband Steve, daughters Juliene (Scott) Snyder of Lincoln, Jeanine (Roger) Kintigh of Superior, and her son Bryan (Stacy) Zeigler of Topeka;  8 grandchildren, Ashley and Danelle Snyder; Jason, Bryce, and Allison Kintigh; Macy, Lily, and Hollyn Zeigler; 3 great grandchildren Gavin Powell , Zach and Holley Kintigh; and her brother Wylie (Jan) Jensen of Superior and 3 nieces; step children David (Shauna) Becker, Stephanie (Daryl) Scott; Sara (Troy) Marshall; 7 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.

Time of Service: Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:00 am

Burial: Spring Creek Cemetery, Ruskin, Nebraska


Memorials to: Michael J. Fox Foundation to help find a cure for Parkinson's Disease.


Visitation: From 4:00 pm-8:00 pm on Thursday with the family present from 4-6 at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home
