Christian Biography of Connie J. Wampole

Connie Jean Wampole, the daughter of Robert and Marcele (Wilton) Dixon, was born on April 13, 1960 in Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on September 22, 2014 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 54 years, 5 months, 9 days.

Connie was one of 7 children. She attended school in Superior, graduating from Superior High School with class of 1978. She was united in marriage on June 20, 2003 to Daryl Wampole in Grand Island.

She enjoyed working at the Walmart South in Grand Island and was employee of the Quarter twice.


She was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew TJ Mohler.

She is survived by her husband Daryl and their cat Tommy of Grand Island, Nebraska; son, Jason Dillon of Lincoln, Nebraska and grandson, Tru Michael Dillon; sisters, Roberta Mohler and husband Sam, Ruth Dixon of Superior, Nebraska, Susan Mohler and husband Ken of Missoula, Montana, Betty Dillon and husband David of Beloit, Kansas, and brothers Bob Dixon and Jim Dixon and wife Betty of Superior, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Kimberly officiating.

Music was "Go Rest High On That Mountain," recording by Vince Gill, "Glorious Day" recording by Casting Crowns, and "Amazing Grace-My Chains Are Gone."

Visitation was held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers were Bob O'Brien, Troy Wampole, Charles Persinger, Wes Dixon, Quentin Colwell and Joe Mohler. Honorary Pallbearers were Connie's family and friends.

Interment was in the Bostwick Cemetery, rural Superior, Nebraska
