Christian Biography of Dale R. Stratman

Dale Robert Stratman, the son of Raymond and Rose (Larmer) Stratman, was born on October 23, 1920 in Webber, Kansas. He passed away on July 15, 2017 at the Harvard Rest Haven at Harvard, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 8 months, 22 days.

Dale was a Lovewell High School graduate. He was united in marriage to Bernice Swihart on July 25, 1940 at Beloit, Kansas and to this union was born six children, four boys and two girls. He was employed as an Auto Mechanic.     He attended church at Fairfield Communality Church and was a 63 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was always quick witted. He enjoyed his grandchildren visits, fishing, camping, doing wood working, and watching his boys play football and basketball. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to Texas.

He moved to Harvard Home Assisted Living April 1 st of 2016 and was transferred to Harvard Rest Haven Nursing Home July 6, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Bernice on December 9, 2006; son Robert Lee December 30, 1975; grandchildren Marion Lynne and Samuel Dale Stratman.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Clista Stratman of Bartlett, Tennessee; son Raymond "Butch" and wife Janice of Clay Center, Nebraska; daughter Jacklyn "Kay" Risewick and husband John of Phillipsburg, Kansas; son Jerry and wife Jane of Geneva, Nebraska; daughter Dawn Rae Bailey and husband Rex of Fairfield, Nebraska; son John of Columbia, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; sister Gwendolyn Hindricks of Alma, Kansas; cousins Peggy Wilkins of Miltonville, Kansas and Rosa Lee Nelson of Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
