Christian Biography of Dale William Uhrmacher

Dale William Uhrmacher, the son of Harold and Armilda (Hohl) Uhrmacher, was born on May 28, 1945 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on September 20, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 73 years, 3 months, 23 days.

Dale attended Cadams Grade school thru the 8 th grade and Superior High School, graduating with the class of 1963.  He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church and joined the Catholic Church in 1967 and was a current member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nelson. He was united in marriage to Marcella "Sally" Ann Mazour on October 28, 1967 at Sacred Heart in Lawrence. This union was blessed with 7 children including 2 sets of twins.

Dale spent his lifetime in Nuckolls County. He started his Auctioneer career in 1963 with Kottmeyer for 50 plus years. He also was a truck driver, farmed, did custom haying, was a bus driver, rural mail carrier, and he also owned and operated a sale barn.

He was very active in his community and was a member of many organizations including, Cadams school board, City Council member, Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Nuckolls County Rodeo and Fair Board, Community Play, and the Library Board. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, horses, and playing cards with friends. He also, was a past member of the National Guards.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Armilda; and twin sons, Jimmy and Johnny at birth.

Survivors include his wife Sally; daughters Christy Sole and husband Richard of Trenton, Missouri; Kathy Dunn and husband Mark of Shawnee, Kansas; son Aaron Uhrmacher of Clay Center, Nebraska; and twin daughters Jeanie Keifer and husband Pete of Bostwick, Nebraska and Jennie Schultz and husband Jeffrey of Ruskin, Nebraska; eight grandchildren: Megan, Mallory and Maverick Sole; Molly and Kylee Dunn; Todd Keifer and Jacob and Joanie Schultz; his sister Shirley Uhrmacher of Nelson, Nebraska; brothers-in-law Don Mazour and wife Mary Ann and Gene Mazour and wife Eileen; and sister-in-law Patty Johnson and husband Doug; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.


Mass of Christian Burial Held at:
St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Superior, Nebraska

Time of Service: Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm

Clergy: Fr. Boehme

Rosary will be recited before the funeral at 1:30 PM

Inurnment with Military Honors: Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska

In lieu of Flowers, Memorials are suggested to: Nelson Volunteer Fire/EMT or St. Elizabeth's Children's Hospital

Visitation & Book Signing: From 4:00 pm-8:00 pm on Friday with the family present from 6-8 to greet friends at the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson
