Christian Biography of Daryl Wampole

Daryl Wampole, the son of Donald and Doris (Badger) Wampole was born April 20, 1952 at Ord, Nebraska. . He passed away on July 18, 2017 at his residence in Grand Island at the age of 65 years, 2 months, 28 days.

He was a 1970 graduate of Lexington High School.  He was united in marriage to Connie Dixon on June 20, 2003 in Grand Island.  Daryl was a 31-year employee of Island Supply and Welding.  He also enjoyed being a DJ on Saturday nights at The Cow Palace in Grand Island.  Daryl enjoyed hunting, fishing, professional wrestling and country music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie on September 22, 2014; and his brothers, Gary Wampole, Terry Wampole and Dale Wampole.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Amanda Luna and her husband Ricardo of Chicago, IL and Tony Wampole and his wife Rosie of Chicago, IL; his sister, Karen Smith of Mississippi; nephew, Troy Wampole and his wife Cindy of Grand Island; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; his special friend, "Cowboy" Bob O'Brien and his cat Tommy.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior with Pastor Jeff Kimberly officiating.

Interment will be at the Bostwick Cemetery near Bostwick

A visitation and celebration of Daryl's life will be on Friday from 5 until 7 PM at The Palace, 3602 W. 2nd Street in Grand Island

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the family for future designation.
