Della Rose (Sykes) Schiermeyer was born to the late George A. and Lulu (Wortman) Sykes November 23, 1925 near Oak Nebraska and entered her heavenly home April 25, 2024.

On December 1, 1946 she married Harvey E. Schiermeyer. To this union was born Leon, Lindell and Marilyn.

She was a homemaker and teacher. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of St. Joseph Mo. where she was active in Faith Circle.

Her hobbies she enjoyed were China Painting, Square Dancing, Flower Arranging and Baking.

In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers; Harry, Rex, Art and Archie. Two sisters; Myrtle and Ruth.

Surviving are children, Leon (Marion), Lindell (Jennifer),  Marilyn (Jerry).
Grandchildren; Stephanie (Dustin), Scott (Ashley), Jason (Christie),
Kim (Del), Kelly (Kolby), Nicole (Randy), Brad (Katie), Paul and Thom (Matthew).
Great-grandchildren, Kalyn (Jon), Rian (Reece), Callie, Morgan, Seanna, Hope, Quinn, Izzy, Violet, Shepherd, Nathaniel, Levi, Jadyn, Oliver, Claire, Chelsie, Benjamin and William.
Great Great granddaughter Stella Kay due in August.

Graveside Service & Inurnment; 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Spring Creek Cemetery in Ruskin, Nebraska. Graveside services are under the direction of Megrue-Price Funeral Homes of Superior, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to either the First Lutheran Church St. Joseph, Mo. or Mosaic Hospice St. Joseph, Mo.
