Christian Biography of Delvin Moeller
Delvin Dean Moeller, the son of William and Leona (Rogge) Moeller, was born on September 1, 1934 in Republic County, Kansas. He departed his life on April 27, 2021 at the age of 86.
Delvin was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church rural Byron. He rarely missed church and always prayed for everyone in their joy and sorrow.
He attended Prairie Dell School until the 6 th grade. He didn't like school. He started hiding under the bridge all day. After being discovered he quit school and became a farmer/stockman with his dad.
Delvin lived with his parents all his life. He helped to care for his dad after he suffered a stroke and continued to live with his mom until her death.
He became ill with a rare kidney disease and moved to Kingswood Court in 2018. He truly enjoyed being there. The staff, other residents and activities made him happy. He also liked being taken care of.
The pandemic was hard on him, as it was all of us. He missed being able to take his drives, go shopping or coming to Byron to see what was going on. He also missed the visits from his great-great nieces and nephews at Kingswood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Dennis.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Katherine, nephews Jaye and wife Sheena, Kenneth and wife Janet, great nephews and their families Eric and wife Renste their children Guinevere and Clark, Ethan and wife Teagan their children Deklann, Lainney, Lawsynn and Laiklee, Kaleb and wife Skye their children Kruze, Kip and Klay and great niece Chelci Kuiack and husband Matthew their children Joslynn, Maisie and Kasen. Cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 am from the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Byron, Ne with Virgil Schleufer officiating.
Music was "In The Garden," and "How Great Thou Art," with Vickie Nielsen as the vocalist and Crystal Krenke as the organist.
Pallbearers were Eric Moeller, Ethan Moeller, Kaleb Moeller, Matt Kuiack, John Melton, Steve Gebers, and Terry Miller
Interment was in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery at Byron, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to go to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
