Christian Biography of Dennis Rogers

Dennis Lee Rogers, the son of LaVerne and Bertha (Gillespie) Rogers, was born on November 27, 1941 in Mankato, Kansas. He passed away on March 11, 2017 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 3 months, 12 days.

Dennis attended grade school in Montrose, Kansas graduating from Wichita East High School. He was united in marriage to Claudette Kershner on November 18, 1961 at Newton, Kansas and to this union 2 sons were born.

Dennis loved to build things from metal. His previous employers were Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas; H.S. Products and Automated Products all as a machinist. When he lived in Superior he was self-employed at Rogers's machine and welding in Webber, Kansas and Superior, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Dwayne and Dallas.

Survivors include his wife Claudette; and sons Douglas and Rodney all of Superior, Nebraska; 4 grandchildren Tera Rae Russell of Houston, Texas, Bryant Lee Rogers of Honolulu, Hawaii, Elizabeth Marie Rogers of Loup City, Nebraska, and Jacqueline Angela Rogers of Lincoln, Nebraska; three great grandchildren Danielle and William Russell and Ciara Rogers.

Graveside Memorial services were held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Robert Hopkins officiating.
