Christian Biography of Don Alexander
Don William Alexander, the son of Donald and Margaret (Taylor) Alexander, was born on June 22, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio. He passed away on November 25, 2013 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital, Superior, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 5 months, 3 days.
Don attended Hopewell Grade School and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1961, after graduating he attended Lawrence Technical School. He worked as a computer repair technician near Detroit, Michigan for IBM for many years.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War being honorably discharged on October 31, 1966.
He moved to Nelson to retire and enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, restoring antiques and old chests.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jack.
He is survived by his daughters Lori Sikorski and husband Dave of Gaylord, Michigan and Ann Kochanski and husband John Kochanski II of Macomb Michigan; two grandsons, Kaleb Schumakek and John Kochanski III and a sister Kay Kocher and husband Rick of Toledo, Ohio.
Memorial services were held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10:00 am from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating.
