Christian Biography of Donnie Dean Biltoft Jr.

Donald Dean Biltoft, the son of Donald and Mary Ann (Mazour) Biltoft, was born on March 11, 1955, in Superior, Nebraska. He lost his battle with cancer on April 10th 2017, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 62 years, and 29 days.

He spent his early life on the farm east of Lawrence where he attended Star country school and then Lawrence Elementary school.

The family then moved to Nelson when he was 9 years old where he graduated from Nelson High School.

He held various jobs until he joined the Navy in 1982. During his naval career he lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Yokosuka Japan and San Antonio Texas.

In 1983 he married Lucy Laverne Harber in Casselberry Florida while both were at the Naval training center in Orlando Florida.

To this union they were blessed with two sons.

Aside from his family his passions were music and art. He enjoyed performing for audiences and sharing his music.

He also loved the sea where his final years were spent working on off shore oil rigs off of Brazil and the Gulf of Mexico for Oceaneering International.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy, and sons Calem Biltoft and Trevor Biltoft and girlfriend Evalyn Orta all of San Antonia, Texas; his mother Mary Ann Biltoft of Nelson, Nebraska and his father Donald Biltoft and wife Lola of Edgar, Nebraska; grandson, Trevor Biltoft, Jr.; siblings, Pia Biltoft and husband Kent Meyer of Denver, Colorado, Roger and wife Cathy of Nelson, Nebraska, Nick and wife Cindy of Riverton, Wyoming, Crystal Meyer and husband Rick of Houston, Texas, and Tara Daly and husband Greg of Bungendore, New South Wales; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Royce Schott and Pastor Randy Mask officiating.

Songs were from Donnie's collection, "Tears," "With You," and "Memories."

Visitation was held on April 19, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson.

Pallbearers were Steve Biltoft, Mitch Biltoft, Kent Ross, Rick Meyer, Steve Hamersky, and Ron Makovicka.

Interment with full military honors was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
