Christian Biography of Donna Clark

Donna Marie Clark, the daughter of Henry and Leona (Birdsell) Topliff, was born on January 19, 1933 near Lovewell, Kansas. She passed away on September 29, 2016 at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 8 months, 10 days.

Donna grew up in the Lovewell community. She received her formal education attending and graduating from the Lovewell Public Schools.

She was united in marriage to Ray E. Clark in Lovewell, Kansas on February 3, 1952. Four sons were born to this union, Samuel Ray, Thomas Joe, John Dorman, and Jack Lee.

Ray & Donna enjoyed going to numerous toy shows throughout the Midwest and made lifelong friends. She was a member of the Hardy Union Church and the WCU. Donna especially cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray on April 13, 2014; daughter-in-law Kaylene Clark on November 17, 2015; brother-in-law Emery Hobelman, and sister-in-law Juanita Laughlin.

Those left to celebrate her life are her sons Sam of Hardy, Nebraska, Tom (Karla) of Courtland, Kansas, John (Trudy) of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jack of Courtland, Kansas; nine grandchildren: Nick Clark (Janice), Jamie Hammond (Andrew), Dustin Scott, Kim Clark, Wes Clark (Cortney), Thayne Clark (Lacey), Andrew Clark (Allie), Tyler Clark and Kayce Clark; 9 great grandchildren: Ben Hammond, Isabel Clark, Reid Hammond, Emma Clark, Kennedy Clark, Jaxi Clark, Ivy Hammond, Mason Clark and Kaydan Clark; sister Ruth Hobelman of Superior, Nebraska, brother Lewis (Minnie) Topliff of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and sister Mary Lou (Charles) Swanson; sister-in-law Winnie Sayre (Robert) of El Cerito, California and brothers-in-law Ralph Clark (Maureen) of Courtland, Kansas and Harold (Neysa) Laughlin of Downers Grove, Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Missie Wilt officiating.

Music was recordings of "The Old Rugged Cross," Jealous Of The Angels," and "What A Wonderful World."

Pallbearers were her grandchildren Nick Clark, Jamie Hammond, Andy Clark, Tyler Clark, Dustin Scott, Kim Clark, Wes Clark, Thayne Clark and Kayce Clark. Honorary Pallbearers were Donna's great grandchildren Ben Hammond, Isabel Clark, Reid Hammond, Emma Clark, Kennedy Clark, Jaxi Clark, Ivy Hammond, Mason Clark and Kaydan Clark.

Interment was in the Rosemound Cemetery South of Hardy, Nebraska.

Memorials directed to the family for later designation.
