Christian Biography of Donna Marr

Donna Mary Marr, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Meadows Myers, was born on October 20, 1925 in Hardy, Nebraska. She passed away on February 7, 2013 at Superior Good Samaritan Society at the age of 87 years, 3 months, 18 days.

Donna Mary (Myers) Marr was born Oct. 20, 1925 to Thomas P. and Mary J. (Meador) Myers in Jewell Co., Kansas near Hardy, Nebraska. She passed away Feb. 7, 2013 at age 87 at the Good Samaritan Home, Superior, Nebraska.

Donna attended primary school at Valley View and was a 1942 graduate of Superior High School. After high school, Donna worked for one year at York Power before returning to Superior to work at the Superior Creamery.

She married Kenneth Dwight Marr on Oct. 13, 1948 in Superior. They spent the majority of their 56 years together on the family farm near Lovewell, Kansas where she was a homemaker and loving mother. Upon semi-retirement in 1990, they moved to Webber, Kansas. She was a passionate gardener until declining health encouraged Donna and Dwight to move to assisted living in Superior. Dwight preceded her in death on July 1, 2005.

She was also predeceased by a daughter, Sara Ann (Marr) Snyder.Survivors include two daughters, Ruth (Monty) Prescott, Manhattan, Kansas; Peggy (Craig) Patterson, Garden City, Kansas; two sons, Tom (Sherry) Marr, Formoso, Kansas; Jerry (Lori) Marr, Dunlap, Illinois; and a son-in-law, Stephen Snyder (Sara, deceased), Bartlett, Illinois. Ten grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
