Christian Biography of Donna Mae Richardson (Thompson)

Donna Mae Richardson (Thompson), the daughter of Orville and Doris (Fuller) Reisen, was born on May 4, 1940 in Tekamah, Nebraska. She passed away on December 27, 2019 at her residence at Harvard, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 7 months, 23 days.

Donna attended school in Emporia, Kansas earning her GED. She was united in marriage to Hap Richardson. Three children were born to this union. Hap preceded her in death. She later married Roger Thompson.

Throughout her life, Donna lived in Tekamah, Emporia, Hardy, Superior, Beatrice, Hastings, and Blair before making her home in Harvard. She was a member of the Good Samaritan Society for 29 years of service, American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW club in Superior. She loved to sew quilts, do zig saw puzzles, playing pogo on the computer and artex painting. Her biggest love was baking and cooking.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Hap in 1975 and Roger in 2017; son Corkey English, brother Richard Reisen, and step-daughter Linda Potter.

Survivors include her sons Terry Richardson of Harvard; Rennie (Kellie) Richardson of Mesa, Arizona; and daughter Doris (John) Putnam of Harvard; step-children Carol Mejia, Shirley Cook, Debbie Yokely, Sue Arnold, Pete Richardson, Diane Teneyck and Val Imler; 12 grandchildren Burgandy Babson, Alicia Horton, Anthony Horton, Austin Horton, Garrett Richardson, Grant Richardson, Gavin Richardson, Terry Richardson, Tyler Byrd, Samantha Byrd, Sabrina Richardson and Courtney Richardson; 7 great grandchildren; and her brother Marvin Reisen of Iowa City, Iowa; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Chaplain John Mueller officiating.

Music was "Dancing In The Sky."

Pallbearers were Cecil Imler, Val Imler, Jeromy VanBaale, Chance Vanderpool, Willie Kussman, Donald Tyler, John Putnam and Andy Reisen.

Interment was in the Hardy Cemetery at Hardy, Nebraska.
