Christian Biography of Duane Woerner

Duane Bruce Woerner, the son of Robert and Darlene (Thomas) Woerner, was born on July 26, 1953 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on October 1, 2026 at the Brodstone Healthcare at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 73 years, 2 months, 5 days.

Duane attended 2R Country School and then Superior High School, graduating in 1971. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Superior and was previously married and blessed with two daughters. On July 2, 2005 he was united in marriage to Barbara Dixon at the First United Presbyterian Church in Superior.

Duane was a lifetime rancher and farmer which was his life.

He was a 4 H leader for Alban Saddle Tramps and also a basketball coach when his daughters were in school. He was an Exulted Ruler for the Elks Lodge and a past member of the Eagles Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Darlene and his sister Marsha Kinyoun, sister-in-law Deb Jetensky and brother-in-law Bill Dixon and his mother/father-in-law William and Katherine Dixon.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; daughters Aadel (Jay) Bussinger of Walters, Oklahoma and Vanessa (Alfred Ascencion Jr.) Pruitt of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandchildren Raven (Seth) Moore and their child Nehemiah; Denna Bussinger and Gaius Bussinger, Gregory, Ezekial, Sebastian, and Edward Pruitt; other relatives and a host of friends.
