Christian Biography of Esther P. Meyer

Esther P Meyer, the daughter of Harvey and Elsie (Molly) Harvey, was born on October 23, 1924 in Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on December 1, 2016 at the Bickford Assisted Living at Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 1 months, 8 days.
Esther was a graduate with the class of 1942 from the Nelson High School in Nelson, Nebraska. On February 1, 1945 she was united in marriage to Donald Meyer in Mankato, Kansas.
She taught in rural schools in the Nuckolls County area for several years. Her love was gardening and especially roses of all colors. She grew test roses for Jackson Perkins testing and creating new hybrids for them and also helped in naming those new hybrids.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Meyer, one brother Lester and two sisters Leona Surber and Inez Snavley.
She is survived by her daughter Tricia Cayette and husband Arthur of Charleston, South Carolina and two grandchildren Dustin and Ehtan Rymph along with a sister Iliene Heidtke of Sun City, Arizona.

Private family funeral services were held from the Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, Nebraska.
