Christian Biography of Gail E. Breen
Gail Eugene Breen, the son of Paul and Lottie (Johnson) Breen, was born on July 21, 1941 in Delphos, Kansas. He passed away on August 26, 2019 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 5 days.
Gail attended Delphos rural and Public Schools graduating from Delphos High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Superior. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. On October 13, 1984 he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Selvage White at the First United Methodist Church.
Gail was a member of the Republican Valley Bird Watchers Club and the Community Choir. Hobbies he enjoyed were woodworking, refinishing furniture, and making husker lawn ornaments. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards and going to casinos.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Lottie and step-daughter Phyllis Rothchild.
Survivors include his wife Margaret of Superior; his children Bryan (Sherry) Breen; Josie Breen and Sherri Breen all of Salina, Kansas; step-children Nancy Pracheil of Omaha; Cliff (Ginger) White of Superior; David (Gina) White of Omaha; Carla (Carl) Waugh of Mankato; and Kelly (Steve) Shadduck of Holdrege; son-in-law Doyle Rothchild of Mankato, Kansas and Michael Pracheil of Gothenburg, Nebraska his sister Judy (Brad) Hartenstine of Manhattan, Kansas; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren and 17 great step-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial services were held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:00 am from the First United Methodist Church in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Natalie Faust officiating.
Music was "It Is Well With My Soul" and "Amazing Grace" with Stephanie Thayer as soloist. A congregational hymn was "Sweet Hour Of Prayer" with Carlita Price as organist.
Honorary pallbearers were Katherine Paige, Jean Clevedon, Shirley Parish, Bob Klein, Tony Shea and Irene Amspacher.
Interment was at 2:00 pm in the Delphos Cemetery at Delphos, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to go to the Superior United Methodist Church.
