Christian Biography of Glenda Thompson

Glenda Irene Thompson, the daughter of Glen and Kathleen (Dawson) Thompson, was born on October 26, 1949 in Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on May 4, 2019 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital at Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 6 months, 8 days.

Glenda was a 1968 graduate of Superior High School and a member of Living Faith Fellowship of Superior. Her employment included the Superior Good Samaritan Society and MNIS while living in Superior, and 20 years at Thermo King in Hastings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Craig and John Thompson and a brothers-in-law Bob Foshee and John Keber.

Survivors include her daughter Kathleen Mercher and husband Jonathan of Superior, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren Josh Thompson and Kristina Yoakum; 1 great grandchild Faeryn; siblings Maureen Betts and husband Merlin of Crete, Nebraska; Peggy Foshee of Superior, Nebraska; and Charles Thompson and wife Myong of Las Vegas, Nevada, sister-in-law Jessie Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on May 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Jon Albrecht officiating.

Music was recordings of "I Can Only Imagine," "There You'll Be," and "Dancing With The Angels."

Visitation was held on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers were Josh Thompson, Jonathan Mercher, Richard Keber, Kenneth Keber and Merlin Betts.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
