Christian Biography of Iola Mosier
Iola Larayne Mosier, the daughter of Charley W. and Mildred (Kubacek) Mosier, was born on July 14, 1933 on a farm south of Davenport, Nebraska. She passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in Superior, Nebraska.
She was baptized at the age of six at Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport. She attended grade school at a district school near Davenport until the age of ten. At this time, Iola because a resident of the Nebraska State Home in Beatrice, NE. In 1971 she joined the family of Mid Nebraska at Superior, NE until the time of her passing.
Iola left behind many friends in her church (Church of the Nazarene, Superior, NE) and the community. Her favorite things were jewelry, shopping and people watching. She was a very organized person and made sure she had her schedule correct for workshops. Iola's hobbies included going out to eat and going to the movies. Some of her favorite occasions were spending time with her favorite nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and leaves to mourn her passing by her brother Wendel and wife Carolyn Mosier, her sister Shelby and husband Gaylord Ehlers, her sister Millie Mealey, her half-sister Marilyn Bargen, her half-brother Verlin and wife Sue Mosier. She is also mourned in passing my numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dave Coleman officiating.
Special Music "Precious Lord, Take my Hand" by Reyn and wife Susie Mosier and congregational hymns "Because He Lives," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," with Heather Dahl as the organist.
Visitation was held on Thursday from 9:00 AM -8:00 PM with family present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Reyn Mosier, Clark Mosier, Matt Mosier, Crayton Mosier, Ross Mosier, Ryan Mosier, and Zach Mosier.
Interment is scheduled for 3:45 PM in the Davenport City Cemetery, Davenport, Nebraska.
Memorials may go to the Nazarene Church in care of the Funeral Home.
