Christian Biography of Jaime Ekstein
Jaime Michelle Ekstein, the daughter of Christina Hansen, was born on January 3, 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on December 17, 2023 at the St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center at Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 43 years, 11 months, 14 days.
Jaime graduated from Hastings High School and earned her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Central Community College. She was working as an LPN at the Harvard Rest Haven. She married Johnny Ekstein on March 13, 2020 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. During her life she lived in several communities including Council Bluffs, York, Hastings, Omaha, Harvard and settling at her home in the country near Guide Rock, Nebraska. Jaime loved to collect spoons from all over the United States. She enjoyed traveling, shoes, tattoos, going to concerts and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Minard, father Ken Porter, grandparents, Raymond and Myrtle Hansen and Jean Conklin. Her aunts, uncles and cousins, Claudia Hansen and Ted Minard, Leon Hansen and Linda Hansen, Bruce Hansen and Cynthia Minard.
She is survived by her husband Johnny Ekstein, children, Piper Porter, Tanner Ekstein, Gavin Ekstein, Ash Ekstein, Cierra Ekstein and Brett Ekstein all of Guide Rock, Nebraska and Shaeli Kolden and Husband Craig of Garrison, North Dakota and her grandchildren, Lincoln and Amity Kolden. She is also survived by her mothers Christina Hansen of Winter Haven, Florida and Cindy Porter of Harvard, Nebraska along with her brothers and sisters, Mike Minard and wife Billie of Ayr, Nebraska, Stacey Ekstein and husband Rich of Pauline, Nebraska, Seth Minard of Hastings, Nebraska and Rachel Minard of Nebraska with many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at the Harvard Community Room in Harvard, Nebraska on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
