Christian Biography of Joline M. Allington

Joline M. Allington, the daughter of Guy and Alice (Clark) Loop was born May 30, 1935 at Hardy, Nebraska. She passed away June 10, 2018 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 83 years and 11 days surrounded by her family and friends. Joline grew up in Hardy and was a graduate of Hardy High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Daryl Allington on June 27, 1954 at Union Church in Hardy. To this union were born 2 sons, Joel and Tony.

Joline was a very active member of the community. She was a member of the Red Hats, Farmerettes, American Legion Auxilliary, Needle Huddle and the Superior United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Nifty Thrifty as well as the Vesty Center and with the Election Board. She enjoyed her grandchildren; traveling to Colorado and many other places; needlework; gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Joel and his wife Sandy of Hastings, NE and Tony and his wife Kathy of Valparaiso, NE; grandchildren, Tricia and Brad of Hastings; Christina of Kansas City, MO; and JD and Nicole of Valparaiso, NE; sister in law, Lorene Loop of Newton, KS, nieces and nephews in addition to a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Allington in 2004; her parents; brothers, Norman Loop and Jimmie Loop, a sister and brother in law, Connie (Dee) Swihart and a nephew, Jerry Loop.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the First United Methodist Church in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Natalie Faust officiating.

Music was "Amazing Grace", "I Will Be True" and "I'll Fly Away" with Carlita Price as the organist, Natalie Soukup as the soloist.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present from 6-8.

Pallbearers were JD Allington, Brad Allington, Guy Loop, Clark Swihart, Gary Loop, and Troy Hayes. Honorary Pallbearer was Larry Loop.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the United Methodist Church in Superior.
