Christian Biography of Joyce Elaine Keith
Joyce Elaine Keith, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Hulls) McCune, was born on February 24, 1925 in Glenvil, Nebraska. She passed away on April 23, 2013 at Superior Good Samaritan Society, Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 1 month, 30 days.
Joyce attended school in Glenvil and graduated from Glenvil High School. On February 12, 1944, she was united in marriage to Lyle Scott Keith in Hastings, Nebraska. This union was blessed with four children; Richard, Gary, Cindy and Scott. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lyle "Spec" on August 29, 1993; son Scott on January 3, 1999; brothers William and Dale (Mac) McCune.
She is survived by her sons Richard Keith and wife Sharon of Cape Coral, Florida, Gary Keith of North Port, Florida, and daughter Cindy Thornton and husband Paul of Superior, Nebraska; eight grandchildren: Scott F. Keith and wife Jill, Nikole Army and husband Ted, Alexander Rice, Jennifer Utecht and husband Jeff, Brian Thornton, Chance Keith, Russell Keith and wife Tiffany, Anna Keith; eight great grandchildren: Amanda Keith, Taylor Keith, Cameron, Colin, and Caden Army, Chloe Marie Keith, Sofia Keith, and Enzo Keith; one great great grandchild Chloe Grace Keith, daughter-in-law Angela Bunch-Keith, sisters Norma Gibbs of York, Nebraska and Jean Ottercrans of Westminster, Colorado; and special family friend Roslyn Aden of Superior; nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Floyd Richardson officiating.
Music was "In The Garden," sung by Janice Thomas and Linda Zink as accompanist.
Visitation was held on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers were Richard Keith, Gary Keith, Scott Keith, Brian Thornton, Paul Thornton, and Jeff Utecht. Honorary Pallbearer was Roslyn Aden, Nicole Army, Alexander Rice, Jennifer Utecht, Chance Keith, Russell Keith, and Anna Keith.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to go to the First Baptist Church.
