Quentin Junior Leece, son of Quentin and Shirley J. (Heldt) Leece, was born on September 14, 1941, in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 82.
He attended Lovewell High School and dedicated his entire career to construction, a field in which he found both fulfillment and success. After retiring, he and his wife, Patricia, ran a hobby dog kennel raising many different breeds.
Quentin was preceded in death by his parents, Quentin and Shirley J. (Heldt) Leece, and his brother, Rick.
Quentin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia, with whom he shared a joyful marriage and cherished companionship. Quentin was previously married twice, and from these unions, he is survived by his children: Craig (Karen) Leece of Kansas City, KS, Leslie (Jim) Reeves of Overland Park, KS, Shane (Jessica) Collins of Solomon, KS, and Jon of Topeka. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Porter, Braegen, Cohen, Montana "Mac", Shawn, Quentin, Jasmine, Justice, Harper, and Lane. He is also survived by his siblings, Vicki Weber of Superior, Nebraska; Linda (Bruce) Ayers of Courtland, Kansas; Janene (Dick) Bagley of Superior, Nebraska; and Richard Leece of Salina, Kansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Quentin's legacy will be remembered by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a life filled with hard work, dedication, and love for his family.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Lillian Flegle officiating.
Music was recordings of "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace".
Pallbearers were Cohen Adams, Montana "Mac" Collins, Shawn McLaughlin-Warren, Quentin Collins, Justice Warren and Brandon Cumberledge. Honorary pallbearer was Lane Collins.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
Memorials are suggested to go in care of the family.
