The Staff at Price Funeral Homes are following the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) recommendation which allows funerals, party's must maintain a minimum of 6' apart and consist of a household unit or individual. This would include arrangements conferences, funeral services, gravesides and all visitations. We fully understand the importance for public gatherings to honor the lives of those we care about, the CDC believes common sense and limiting numbers at public gatherings is one of the most significant resources that may slow the spread and impact of this pandemic.

Christian Biography of Justin D. Thompson
Justin Dee Thompson, the son of Ward and Shirley (Springer) Thompson, was born on February 25, 1947 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on December 11, 2020 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska, after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, 16 days.
He was a Superior High School graduate with the class of 1965. He continued his education at Kearney State College earning a bachelor's of science degree in business.
On October 10, 1969 he was united in marriage to Barbara Whitney at Lincoln, Nebraska, this union was blessed with 3 children. Justin enlisted in the United States Army on February 26, 1971 and was honorably discharged on December 22, 1972, serving during the Vietnam war era.
Justin was an insurance agent and owner of Whitney-Thompson Insurance Agency for over 30 years.
Justin was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Superior, serving as an elder and deacon. He was also a member of the American Legion, Superior Country Club, Superior Zoning Board, and Chamber of Commerce.
He enjoyed woodworking and after retiring he did a lot of handyman jobs; his leisure time was spent playing golf, and spending time working in and around the yard, Justin and Barb enjoyed traveling, road trips and going to concerts together. He loved his time spent with his family especially with his grandkids
Justin was preceded in death by his parents Ward and Shirley; sister Cheryl Warren; father-in-law George "Larry" Whitney.
Survivors include his wife Barbara; children Kelly (Samuel Dalton) Knigge of Argyle, Texas; Michael Thompson of Grand Island, Nebraska; and Dr. Angela (James Paul)Thompson-Paul of Decatur, Georgia; 5 grandchildren: Jack Knigge, Blake Dalton, Max Dalton, Chloe Paul and Asher Paul; brothers Robert Thompson and Dr. Ronald (Dee) Thompson both of Superior, Nebraska; and brother-in-law Doug Warren of Formoso, Kansas; mother-in-law Arma Jean Whitney of Superior, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Private Family service with a Public Graveside held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 2:45 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Superior with Pastor Stanley Copeland officiating.
Recorded music was "What A Wonderful World," and "Amazing Grace."
Pallbearers were Nate Stineman, John Stineman, Chuck Whitney, Randy Schultz, Mel Menke, Dr. Angela Thompson-Paul, Kelly Knigge and Wiley Jensen. Honorary Pallbearers were Michael Thompson, Jim Whitney, James Paul, Robert Thompson, Dr. Ron Thompson, Doug Warren, Jack Knigge, Dr. Donn Crilly, Mike Tumbleson and Arden Russell.
