Hastings, Nebraska, resident Korena Hoshaw passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home.

Korena was born February 10, 1961, in Superior, NE, to Rex and Shirleen (Thomas) Darling. She graduated from Superior High School in 1979. Korena married Don Hoshaw on April 19, 1980.

Korena was preceded in death by her father, Rex Darling; sister, Kathy Neilsen, and Becky Strine.

Survivors include her husband Don Hoshaw; son and spouse, Derek and Meghan Hoshaw; grandchildren, Beckett Hoshaw, Ariah Hoshaw, Elliott Hoshaw; siblings: Kevin Darling, Kelvin Darling, Dodi (Gary) Holling, Christine (John) Souza, Sandy (Victor) Etre and Scott (Pat) Darling; her mother, Shirleen Redinger; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026 from noon to 5:00 pm at the VFW Club in Superior, Nebraska with John Price officiating.

Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
