Christian Biography of Larry L. Kroeger

Larry Lee Kroeger, the son of Albert George and Edna Anna Bertha (Paul) Kroeger, was born on November 7, 1939 on a farm near Byron, Nebraska. He passed away on January 31, 2026 at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home at Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 2 months, 24 days.

Larry was baptized on November 19, 1939 and was a 60 + year member of Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior. He was a 1957 high school graduate of Byron High School. After graduating, Larry worked for Byron Chemical and was also a farm hand for Lawrence Kirchhoff.

Larry was engaged to Marjorie Marie Albrecht on May 12, 1961 and they were married on December 3, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedensau, Nebraska. To this union 2 sons were born, Todd Alan on December 30, 1962 and Donny Lee on April 19, 1966.

Larry was a gifted craftsman by trade and built many homes including his own. He was a member of the Superior Elks Lodge and the Byron Fire Department.

Due to his health, he resided at Parkview Haven since December of 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marjorie on October 11, 1997, his son Donny on October 18, 1993, his brothers Michael in 1949 and Steve in 2014, and his sister Vernita in 1942.

Survivors include his son Todd (Camie) Kroeger of Superior; grandchildren Austin Don Kroeger of Norfolk, and Morgan Larrae Kroeger of Superior; and great grandson Hudson Colt Kroeger; his sister Joan Wood of Yukon, Oklahoma and brother Doug Kroeger of Clay Center, Kansas; brothers and sisters-in-law Lyle Flanders of North Platte, Arlene and Melvin Holmes of Grand Island and Pat and Stan Schmidt of Malcolm; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Celebration of Life Services held at: Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, Nebraska
Time of Service: Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00 am
Final Resting Place: Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska
