Christian Biography of Linda Reuelle (Bolin) Blackstone
Linda Reuelle (Bolin) Blackstone, aged 77, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 25, 2017. She was born on September 13, 1940 to Reuel and Dorothy (Armagost) Bolin, and grew up near Briggsdale, Colorado as the youngest of four daughters.
Linda was married to Don Blackstone in 1962, and the couple had 4 children. They lived for many years in New Mexico where they were long-time members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alamogordo. Following retirement, Linda and Don lived 16 years near Webber, Kansas, returned to Alamogordo, New Mexico, and finally moved to Allen, Texas.
Linda enjoyed teaching elementary school for many years and was always serving in her church. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Lynn Blackstone, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Don Blackstone; her children Susan (David) Ray, Kevin (Caren) Blackstone, and Crystal Blackstone; five grandchildren, Levi (Jennifer) Blackstone, Brett Blackstone, Jonathan Ray, Jessica Ray, and Jeniece Ray; and two great grandchildren, Wesley and Lydia Blackstone. She is also survived by her three sisters Donna Willis, Carol (Tom) Pitner, and Janice (Joe) Pafford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Todd Bowen officiating.
Music was "Rock of Ages," and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder," with Carlita Price as the organist and "Amazing Grace" with Sherri Poole as the pianist.
Visitation was held on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Pallbearers were Daren Blackstone, Barry Blackstone, Jamie Blackstone, Levi Blackstone, Brett Blackstone and Jonathan Ray.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Pregnancy Center of Superior, Nebraska.
