Christian Biography of Lori Renz

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Sue Renz who left us

peacefully on November 15, 2025 at the age of 63. Lori was born April 9, 1962 in Superior,

Nebraska to Lawrence and Sandra Bothwell. She attended Superior public schools for her

elementary, Jr. High and High School education. She earned her Associates of Social Work

degree in 2003 while caring for three small children and worked as a dedicated social

worker and later as the administrator at the Good Samaritan Society for many years.

Lori married her spouse Bruce Renz on June 28, 1980 in Weber, Kansas. They were

married for 45 years, and had four children: Aaron in 1980, Luke in 1994, Chelsea in 1995

and Zach in 2001. Her daughter-in-law, Denise, joined our family in 2010, and

granddaughter Mariella (Ella) Joy Renz was born in 2015.

Lori took pride in being a farmer's wife, mother and grandmother to both human children

and pets. She dedicated her life to caring for others and her work was an integral part of

who she was. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, strength, and

unwavering support.

Preceding Lori in death are her mother, Sandra Bothwell, brother, Cameron Bothwell and her in-laws Loren and Esther Renz.

She is survived by her husband Bruce Renz; her children Aaron Renz, Luke Renz, and

Zach Renz of Superior, Nebraska; daughter Chelsea Renz of Austin, Texas; her

daughter-in-law Denise; grandchild Mariella; her father, Lawrence Bothwell of Mankato,

Kansas; sister Shelly (Bothwell) Jung and husband Timothy Jung of Superior, Nebraska and

niece Lydia of North Adams, Massachusetts; and a host of many great relatives and great

friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A public viewing will be held on November 28, 2025 from 4 PM - 8 PM at Megrue-Price Funeral Home. The family will be present from 4 PM - 6 PM.

A celebration of her life will be held on November 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior, Nebraska.

Private inurnment will take place at the Webber Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future determination.
