Obituary

Margaret M Kinyoun, the daughter of William and Anna (Jensen) Cramer, was born on March 18, 1929 in Hardy, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 5 days.

Margaret had five siblings. She graduated from Hardy High School in 1946 and attended Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital School of Nursing earning her nursing degree in 1949.

Dale and Margaret were united in marriage on September 17, 1949 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with nine children. Dale and Margaret made their home in Superior, Nebraska.

Margaret worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years, including employment at St. Mary's-Parkview Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas, Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, the Superior Medical Clinic and 20 years at The Good Samaritan Center. Margaret was named Good Samaritan Center Employee of the Year in 1987 and 1991.

Dale and Margaret were actively involved in their community. Margaret served as a Brownie and Cub Scout leader, past-president of Mother's Club, past-president of Band Mothers, lifetime member of the Nebraska Veterinary Auxiliary, and served 6 years on the Brodstone Memorial Hospital Board as an officer, including president. She also enjoyed reading, watching sports and talking politics.

Dale and Margaret enjoyed traveling, time spent with family and friends at their cabin on Lovewell Lake, horse racing, and in their later years, winters spent inSun City West, Arizona. Dale and Margaret eventually moved to Kingswood Court in Superior where they resided together prior to their deaths which occurred a day apart. A great ending to a 69-year love story.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents William and Anna; brothers William (Bill) and Robert (Lundy) Cramer; and sisters Lois Grueber, Bernice (Bun) and Marilyn Cramer; infant son William Robert and infant daughters Janice and Barbara.

Survivors include her husband Dale; six children: Joan (Dr. John) Ferguson of Omaha; Jean Kinyoun of Superior; Joe Kinyoun of Lincoln; Jeff (Marsha) Kinyoun of Superior; Judy (Kirk) Grove of Superior; and Jane (Paul)Kinyoun-Weston of Moscow, Idaho; 10 grandchildren: Hunter (Amber) Folkers; T.J. (Anne) Folkers; Carrie Strovers; Sara (Matt) Wesley; Jarad (Carlie) Kinyoun; Jena (Chris) Evans; Kyle (Kayla) Grove; Brady (Kayla) Grove; Dr. Jessica (Luke) Miller; Michael (Dr. Mary) Kinyoun; 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends

A Tribute was held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Vickie Nielsen officiating.

Music was "On Eagle's Wings," Amazing Grace," and "Lord's Prayer," with Gloria Garman-Schlaefli as the organist with Vickie Nielsen as the soloist.

Private family inurnment was in the Webber Cemetery at Webber, Kansas.
