Christian Biography of Marla Mae Howe
Marla Mae Howe, the daughter of Marlen and Lola (Myers) Noble, was born on April 25, 1943 in Concordia, Kansas. She passed away on April 21, 2017 at her home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 73 years, 11 months, 27 days.
Marla attended kindergarten in Guide Rock, Nebraska and completed the remainder of her schooling in Superior. On April 20, 1963 she was united in marriage to Wilber Howe and to this union was born two children, Dannie and John.
Her hobbies included embroidery, cooking, canning and in later years, caring for her beloved cats, Midnight and Sam. She loved her family and friends, still keeping contact by writing letters, cards and clipping newspaper articles of each person to send to them.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one step-daughter Sharon Ridlen.
She is survived by her sons, Dannie and wife Kelly of Hebron, Nebraska; and John and wife Kelly of Superior, Nebraska; step-children Barbara Dowty of Windsor, Missouri; Daryl Howe and wife Diane of Belleville, Kansas; Viola Wyatt and husband Gary of Mountain Grove, Missouri; Irene Schmidt and husband Lonnie of Garden City, Idaho; and Juanita Ashby of Belleville, Kansas; grandchildren Kelsey, Gregory, Jadyn, AnnaMae, Aliecia and Weslynn; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, June Frasier and husband Ron, and Lynda Aksamit and husband David all of Superior, Nebraska; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:30 am from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating.
Music was recordings of "The Old Rugged Cross", "One Day at a Time" and "Beyond the Sunset".
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were David Voorhees, Gregory Dightman, Jadyn Dightman, Eric Frasier, Ethan Beale and Jason Adams.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
A memorial has been established and can go in care of the family.
