Christian Biography of Mary Jane Mohler
Mary Jane Mohler, the daughter of William and Wilma (Smith) Andrews, was born on November 21, 1930 in Mankato, Kansas. She passed away on October 4, 2015 at her home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 10 months, 13 days.
Mary Jane attended grade schools in Gregory, Kachley and Lovewell and graduated from Formoso High School. She was a 10 year member of Grace Community Evangelical Free Church in Superior.
On June 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Vernon Mohler at the Formoso Community Church and this union was blessed with 5 children. Mary Jane loved to cook and keep a nice house. She worked for older people, who needed her help, she loved babies and doing things for others, she had a very kind heart. Her hobbies included crafts of all sorts, and she had a doll collection.
She was a member of 4-H, and twin mother's club. She was previously employed as a cook at the Superior Good Samaritan Society, and the Vestey Center and volunteered at the Nifty Thrifty, and was a Sunday School Teacher.
Throughout her lifetime, Mary Jane lived in the communities of Mankato, Kachley, Lovewell, Formoso, Hays, Garden City, and Agra all in Kansas and Superior, Nebraska.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; son Arlen and brothers William Jay and Marvin Max, brother-in-law Ken Fricke and great granddaughter Lauryn Trautman.
Survivors include her husband Vernon of Superior, children Verna Nott and husband Ron of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Wendell Mohler and wife Susan of Kankakee, Illinois; Jocelyn Shroyer and husband Steve of Superior, Nebraska and Jacalyn Trautman and husband Lyle of Hoskins, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren: Troy Bauer and wife Christine, Tami and husband Pat Stalnaker, Tabitha Mohler, William Mohler and wife Jennifer, Trenton Trautman and wife Laura, Levi Trautman and wife Andrea, Nathan Trautman and wife Nicole, Blake Barry, Phillip Barry and wife Sara, Clint Shroyer and fiancé Jeanel Jurgensmier; 22 great grandchildren: Kady and Christopher Bauer, Cory, Kaleigh and Justin Robinson, Julia Mohler, Lucy Roberts, Cassidy, Alexis and Taylor Mohler, Cailyn and Cayce Barry, Tarissa, Dean and Adalynn Barry, Jason and Torie Trautman, Graycen, Ashlyn, and Brooklyn Trautman, Fayte and Bastian Trautman; 1 great great granddaughter Cambria Burke; sister Alicia Fricke of Lawrence, Kansas; sisters-in-law Carole Andrews of Cheney, Kansas, Mona Hoard of Oxford, Nebraska, Marian Turner of Hastings, Nebraska and Eva Wiley of Cawker City, Kansas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:30 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor David Johnson officiating.
Music was "What A Day That Will Be," "A New Name In Glory," and "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone," with Marsha Cline as the soloist and Carlita Price as the organist.
Pallbearers were Troy Bauer, William Mohler, Trent Trautman, Levi Trautman, Nathan Trautman, Blake Barry, Phillip Barry and Clint Shroyer. Honorary Pallbearers were Tamera Stalnaker, Tabitha Mohler and Pat Stalnaker.
Interment was in the Balch Cemetery at Formoso, Kansas.
