Christian Biography of Melvin H. Menke

Melvin Henry Menke, the son of Vernon and Dolores (Schroer) Menke, was born on May 7, 1947 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on April 7, 2025 at Brodstone Healthcare in Superior at the age of 77 years and 11 months.

Mel was raised in Lawrence, Nebraska and attended Sacred Heart Grade school and was a Lawrence High School graduate. He continued his college and pharmacy school at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

He was united in marriage to Marie Daake on May 22, 1971 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pleasanton, Nebraska. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
