Christian Biography of Mildred Eilers

Mildred Lavona Eilers, the daughter of Glenn and Edna (Bollinger) Love, was born on September 30, 1931 in Mankato, Kansas. She passed away on October 16, 2015 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 84 years and 16 days.

Mildred attended and graduated from Mankato High School in Mankato, Kansas. On November 17, 1953 she was united in marriage to Robert Eilers at Superior. To this union was born to children, Gayleen and Stanley. Together they lived on the farm east of Nelson, Nebraska until moving into Nelson in 2005. Mildred worked at the Nuckolls County Courthouse in Nelson for 41 years in the Garrison Law Office, the County Clerk's office, the County Attorney's office and was Clerk of the District Court.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gayleen and her brother, Robert Love.


She is survived by her husband Robert of Nelson, son Stan Eilers and wife Carol of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three grandchildren: Scott and wife Tracy Eilers of Rosemont, Minnesota, Alison Eilers and Tim Eilers both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two great-grandchildren: Corey and Lily Eilers; along with a host of many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Salem Lutheran Church near Superior, Nebraska with Pastors Don and Margaret Olson officiating.

Music was "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand" with Stephanie Thayer as soloist. A congregational hymn was "Lift High The Cross" with Carlita Price as the accompanist.

Pallbearers were Marlin Cox, Marvin Hoffman, Arnold Brown, Chuck Tuttle, Ken Hamel and Ron Lindvall.

Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the Salem Lutheran Church.
