Christian Biography of Nana Violet Beale

Nana Violet Beale, one of five children born to George and Nancy (LaMoure) Hebert on July 6, 1924 in Montebello, California and passed away on June 12, 2024 at Brodstone Healthcare at the age of 99 years, 11 months, 6 days.

Nana attended Fremont Grade School, Jr. High and High School in Montebello graduating with the class of 1943. She worked at Sears as a phone operator until marrying Marvin Beale, Sr., on September 14, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. This union was blessed with six children.

They moved to a farm in Jewell County, Kansas, where they raised their family. In 1980, they moved to Superior, Nebraska, where she was employed as a CMA for 18 years at the Superior Good Samaritan Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, baby dresses, doll clothes and intricate lace table cloths, and tending to her flowers. When she could no longer crochet she could always be found with something to read in her hands. She volunteered at the Vestey Center until moving into the Superior Good Samaritan Society in November of 2021, where she made her home until her passing.

Nana was preceded in death by her parents George and Nancy; husband Marvin on March 27, 1996, daughter Rebecca, grandson Zachariah Beale; great grandsons Dylan Jones, Keven Johnson and Ishan Berentes, and great great grandson Knox Mohler.

She is survived by her children: Jane Belt of Belleville, Marvin, Jr., (Pam) Beale of Shickley, Timothy (Jeri) Beale of Clay Center, Miles (Kelly) of Nelson, and Darrin (Kelsey) Beale of Geneva; many, many, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; her sister Beth Elliott of Montebello, CA; nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

A Celebration of life open house gathering with family and friends held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family.

Private family burial in Burr Oak Cemetery.
