Biography of Nancy Gray

Nancy Marie Gray, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Bean) Curfman, was born on August 5, 1952 in Hastings, Nebraska. She passed away on October 30, 2026 at the Westfield Quality Care of Aurora at Aurora, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 2 months, 25 days.

Nancy lived in Harvard until 1962, where she attended grade school at Harvard Elementary before moving to Superior where she attended Portland Heights Country School, North Ward and Junior High and Superior High School graduating with the class of 1970. After graduating she moved to Franfort where she married Sylvester Fox in 1970. He preceded her in death.

She married Robert Gray on November 12, 1977 at Superior. While growing up they lived 2 blocks from each other, and were reacquainted over the CB radio which led to their marriage.

Throughout her lifetime, Nancy lived in many communities besides, Harvard, Frankfort and Superior, she resided in Arvada, Colorado, Campbell, Hastings and in 2024 moving to Aurora, Nebraska. Where she resided until her passing.

Nancy was employed for many years at Mid Nebraska Individual Services in Superior. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, sewing, touring on their motorcycle, fishing, spending several weekends at the lake camping with family and friends. Halloween was her favorite holiday with an extensive costume collection, that she shared with others.

Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mildred; husband Bob June 9, 2008; son Kyle Fox, daughter Nannette Fox; brothers Robert William and Keith Curfman.

Survivors include her children Nathan (Marcia) Fox of Heartwell, Nebraska; Rachel (Jason) McKay of Salina, Kansas; Christy (Chris Humphries) Fox of Smolen, Kansas; 10 grandchildren: Austin, Alex, Cole, Amy, Renae, Kyla, Madison, Andrew, Joe and Ashley; 3 great grandchildren: Violet, Ava and Zayden; siblings Jim (Joy) Curfman and Kathy (Donald) Wiseman all of Kearney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
