Christian Biography of Patricia A Holling
Patricia Ann Rogers Holling, the daughter of Don and Eva (Van Meter) Rogers, was born on August 1, 1948 in Superior, Nebraska. She passed away on February 20, 2015 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 66 years, 6 months, 19 days.
Pat attended schools in Hutchinson, Guide Rock and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1967. She graduated from Grand Island Beauty School in 1972, own and operated Pat's Pride Beauty shop for many years, manager of Superior Pizza Hut for 20 years.
Her greatest passion were family and holiday get togethers, with Christmas being her favorite. All family members felt her love and giving nature. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, attending the grandchildren's activities, watching football and baseball, reading books and their 2 wonderful dogs, Penny and Sparky.
Pat & Dick were married May 14, 1983 and to this union a family was created with 4 children. Daughter Amy Paredes and husband Jesse of Belleville, Kansas, sons Mark and wife Jill of Hastings, Nebraska, Gary and wife Dodi of Superior, Nebraska and Tony and wife Cindy of Beatrice, Nebraska.
One of her greatest joys were her grandchildren, Kassidee, Kaycee, and Conner Paredes, Shyann and Kayla Holling, Nikki Felmlee and Mindy Gerber, Rodney Holling, Adam Holling and Renee Paulson.
Pat is preceded is death by her daughter Nancy Jo, parents Don and Eva Rogers, sister Beverly Jo, and brother-in-law Bob Strnad.
She is survived by her husband Dick, her 4 children,10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Rae Tumbleson and husband Jeff of Superior, Diane Cox and husband Arylce of Belleville, and Reta Boswell of Fall City, Nebraska; 2 brothers John Rogers and wife JoAnn and Keith Rogers and wife Susan all of Superior, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Memorial services were held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Missie Wilt officiating.
Recorded music of "Amazing Grace," "Footprints in The Sand," and "Old Rugged Cross," was played.
Honorary Pallbearers were Pat's Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
Private Family Inurnment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
