Christian Biography of Pat Kimminau

Patricia Ann Kimminau, the daughter of George and Francis (Karmazin) Drudik, was born on February 21, 1938 in Lawrence, Nebraska. She passed away on March 30, 2024 at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home at Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 1 month, 9 days.

Pat attended school in Lawrence and was a Lawrence High School graduate. In 1956 she was united in marriage to Vernon Herman Kimminau at Lawrence, Nebraska and to this union six children were born. Shortly after their marriage, Vern enlisted into the United State Army. They moved to Colorado for about a year and then returned to the Lawrence area where they were engaged in farming until moving to Superior, Nebraska in 1967. Together they owned and operated Pat & Vern's Bar and Tavern – birthplace of the infamous "Sauerkraut Pizza."

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Vernon Kimminau on February 7, 2021.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn Kimminau of Apache Junction, Arizona; Larry Kimminau of North Platte, Nebraska; Bonnie (Bruce) Mathison of Mesa, Arizona; Brittany Barbara (Steve) Franklin of Phoenix, Arizona; Father Bernard Kimminau of McCook, Nebraska; and Tom (Linda) Kimminau of Omaha, Nebraska. Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial held at: St. Joseph Catholic Church, Superior, Nebraska

Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska


Visitation and Rosary: Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 4:00 - 7:00 pm with the Rosary Recited at 7:00 pm
