Christian Biography of James "Pete" Keifer

James Warren "Pete" Keifer, the son of Bob and Jean (Campbell) Keifer, was born on March 29, 1967 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on October 28, 2021 at his home at the age of 54 years, 6 months, 29 days.

Pete attended grade school in Bostwick, Nebraska and graduated from Superior High School in 1985. He attended Curtis Technical College earning a degree in Agricultural Mechanics.

He was united in marriage to Jeanie Uhrmacher on July 29, 2000 in Superior, their son Todd was born to this union.

Pete was serving as a Nuckolls County Commissioner and was a Masonic Lodge member, he was a coach for the NASP Archery and the Nuckolls County Shooting Sports.

He was engaged in farming and enjoyed rebuilding engines, bowling, deer hunting, and watching Husker football.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert, sister Sue Epp, brother Michael and infant brother Donald, father-in-law Dale Uhrmacher.

He is survived by his wife Jeanie and his son Todd both of Guide Rock; mother Jean Keifer of Guide Rock; sister Linda (Cliff) DeLong of Rapid City, South Dakota; mother-in-law Sally Uhrmacher of Nelson, Nebraska; brothers-in-law Gary (Dianna) Epp of Hickman, Nebraska; and Aaron Uhrmacher of Nelson; sisters-in-law Jennie (Jeff) Schultz of Ruskin, Nebraska; Kathy (Mark) Dunn of Shawnee, Kansas; Christy (Richard) Sole of Trenton, Missouri; nephews Tom DeLong, Jacob Schultz, and Maverick Sole; nieces Rylee Epp, Keely Epp, Joanie Schultz, Molly and Kylee Dunn; and Megan, Mallory Sole and numerous cousins and friends.
