Christian Biography of Richard "Dick" McCutcheon
Richard Everett McCutcheon was born November 19, 1931 to Ira O. and Ceta E. (Klingenberger) McCutcheon. He was raised on a farm near Webber, Kansas. He passed away on October 22, 2014 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 82 years, 11 months, 3 days.
Dick graduated from Superior High School in 1949 and married Lorna Hudiburgh in 1952. To this marriage was born a daughter Wendy, son Terry, and a stillborn son.
Richard was a lineman and skilled electrician and rancher. He loved raising Registered Quarter Horses and the great Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He moved his family back to Kansas in 1969 to farm.
Divorced in 1982, Dick married Joyce Woodyard in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ira & Ceta; and two step grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of Superior, Nebraska; son, Terry McCutcheon and wife Janice of Burr Oak, Kansas, daughter, Wendy McCutcheon Harris also of Burr Oak, Kansas; step-children, Mike Gentry, Ron Gentry and Carrie Sack; 6 grandchildren, Shane and Steph McCutcheon, Krystal and Chad Wulf, Justin and Meggie McCutcheon, Kimberly Davis, Jennalee Harris, and David Harris;12 great grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild; one sister, Margaret Korb of Kansas City, Kansas and her son Mark and Judy Korb and family; other relatives and a host of friends.
