Christian Biography of Robert Lundi Cramer

Robert Cramer was born on January 21, 1918 in Hardy, Nebraska. He passed away on January 9, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas.

Robert joined the Navy in 1936 right after high school. He served in the China Seas and Panama as a radio operator until 1942 when he was accepted into naval flight school earning his wings in 1945.He served a tour of duty as pilot at the rank of Lt. for U. S. Navy flying off carriers during the Korean War and achieved rank of Lt. Commander in the Naval Reserves after leaving active duty.


He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1956, with a B.S. degree in Geology. Robert worked as a petroleum geologist in Moorcroft WY, Sidney NB, Denver CO. Rising Star TX and May TX until retiring in 1983.

He is survived by his sisters Margaret Kinyoun and husband Dale of Superior Nebraska; and Lois Grueber of Mitchell, Nebraska; his children: Christina M. Bauer of Denver Colorado; Robert L. Cramer Jr. of Sahuarita Arizona; Susan A. Cramer of Denver Colorado; Thomas L. Cramer of Lubbock Texas; and David B. Cramer of Milliken Colorado; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents William J. and Anna M. Cramer; spouses, Anne Appleton Cramer and Nelda Cramer; brother William B. Cramer, sisters Berniece and Marilyn Cramer, and grandson Michael J. Trujillo; other relatives and a host of friends.


Graveside Memorial Service with Full Military Honors will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Hardy Cemetery, Hardy, Nebraska.
