Christian Biography of Robert L. "Bobby" Wilhelms

Robert Lynn Wilhelms, the son of Leonard and Donna (Larkins) Wilhelms, was born on October 25, 1952 in Hebron, Nebraska. He passed away on December 13, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village Perkins Pavillion at the age of 61 years, 1 month,and 18 days.

Bobby was baptized on December 13, 1952 by the Rev. G.J. Meyer. He attended Superior Public Schools through the 9th grade and then attended Mid Nebraska Individual Services for many years in Superior, Grand Island and Hastings, Nebraska. He lived at home until the mid-1990's and then lived at the Hebron Blue Valley Care Home. Bob always loved when Aunt Katherine and Uncle Bill and Aunt Joanne and Uncle Valdean would come to see him because they always brought him a diet Coke and Ccndy. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Superior and at one time of the Jaycees in Hastings and also participated in the Special Olympics.

In 2002 Bob fell and fractured his hip and never walked again so he was moved to the Good Samaritan in Hastings to be closer to family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Randall and nephews, Matt Gray and Shane Rogers.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim Gray of Hastings, Nebraska, Judy Mohler and husband Denny of Lincoln, Nebraska, Patricia Duncan and husband Scott of Hastings, Nebraska, Cinda Rogers and husband Steve of Buhler, Kansas and Thom Wilhelms of Hasting, Nebraska, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of many, many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Mark Diehl officiating.

Music was ""Amazing Grace", "Angels Among Us" and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Hoselton, Tycen Miller, Larry Wilhelms, Cameron Gray, Toby Mohler, Todd Mohler and Robert Johnston.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go in care the family.
