Christian Biography of Rodney Follmer

Rodney Wayne Follmer, the son of Gary and Shirley (Jenkins) Follmer, was born on April 2, 1967 in Kokomo, Indiana. He passed away on July 19, 2022 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center West at Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 55 years, 3 months, 17 days.

Rodney was baptized on October 4, 1970 and confirmed on May 10, 1980. He attended school in Superior graduating from Superior High School. After graduating, Rodney enlisted in the United States Air Force on September 6, 1985 serving as a defensive fire control systems specialist. He was honorably discharged as a Sgt on June 17, 1991.

Rodney lived the majority of his life in Dallas, Texas and worked in the mortgage/loan industry. He was a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary on August 8, 2015; grandparents Donald and Muriel Follmer and Robert and Betty Jenkins; uncles Larry Jenkins, Dana Jenkins and Craig Follmer; and cousin Corina Krieser.

Survivors include his mother Shirley of Lincoln and his sister Tracy (Ben) Souchek of Lincoln; nephew Blake Souchek; other relatives and a host of friends.

A private family service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nelson, Nebraska.

Inurnment with military honors in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska.
